Technician Resume
Career As A Technician
Technicians are considered a skilled in the workforce and typically work in some field within technology. They may be found working in a variety of fields, and they usually have a job title with the designation ‘technician’ following the particular category of work.
This kind of worker often has practical understanding of the general theoretical principles of that field and hands on skills.
Format First
First give some thought to the type of Technician Resume that you need, be it creative, professional, or academic, the next step is to decide on a format. There are a lot of ways you can do this, but I have an example of a simple Technician Resume format for those of you who would like a little bit of a visual example. The first step is you want to have a header; something that provides your name and any contact information you’d like to include. For example, a phone number, email address, or maybe even a home address if you think that would be helpful. Once you have your heading all set, the next step is to find out what section headings make sense for you. On this example I have; Education, Experience, Activities, Involvement or Research, whichever of those fit with you and your experience, Awards, Skills, Work status, and Interests. These might not be the headings that make sense for you, but this is just an idea for a starting point.
Medical Resume References
One other point I would add with the Technician Resume is that whoever years ago decided to put references available on request should be shot, should be drawn and quartered, should be doing something else. Don’t put that on the Technician Resume. All that means is that, if I like what you’re doing; now I’ve got to go back to you and say “Would you please, kindly send me some references. Don’t make me go to the trouble of doing that. How many references do you want? To me, I would say three, certainly for college students. I’d like one reference that could tell me about your academic standards, abilities, someone who in the news business could tell me about your professional abilities and a third who could tell me something about you as person.
Keep the Medical Job In Mind
When considering what things to include in your Technician Resume overall, you really want to be thinking about the job that you’re applying for. Really look at that job. Look at the online posting and make sure that your Technician Resume is mimicking or mirroring the language or the skills they’re asking for in that Technician Resume.
